There are many of today’s most successful recording artists that are not only talented singers, but who also have another set of skills: they are also great entrepreneurs. While many celebrities will ultimately tie their name to other businesses, these three successful singers have managed to start and run their own businesses on the side of their entertainment careers. Here are three of the most successful individuals today and the businesses that they have created for themselves.

The Offspring’s Dexter Holland – Gringo Bandito Hot Sauce

When most celebrities start a company, it typically has to do with fashion or entertainment, not Dexter Holland. The lead singer of the group The Offspring actually launched his own hot sauce, and today it may just be a more profitable venture than his singing career. The punk-rocker created his Gringo Bandito peppered hot sauce that many claim is the best in America. At least Playboy magazine ranked it as the best in the country, even beating out big names like Sriracha and Cholula. The taco topping features Holland dressed up like Pancho Villa. The sauce started in Southern California, and started steadily gaining popularity, now it is available around the globe.

Gwen Stefani – L.A.M.B. Clothing

Most people know Gwen Stefani for being part of the band No Doubt, for her successful solo career and her gig on The Voice, however many of her fans love the multi-talented singer because of her unique style. For years, many looked to mimic Stefani’s personal look, so it made sense for her to venture into the world of fashion. This is why Stefani created L.A.M.B. Clothing, a venture that includes high-end pieces, shoes and accessories. Stefani founded the brand in 2003 and it made its official runway debut in 2004. The company is an acronym for her debut solo album Love. Angel. Music. Baby. Today, the line has expanded to include watches, bags and a signature fragrance called “L.” It is estimated to earn over $90 million per year.

Justin Timberlake – William Rast

Justin Timberlake is one of the most celebrated and recognized male singers on the planet today. However, in addition to being a wildly successful entertainer, the singer is also a business owner. Together with a childhood friend, Trace Ayala, Justin Timberlake launched his own fashion line called William Rast. The company was named after Timberlake’s grandfather’s first name and Ayala’s grandfather’s last name. The company launched in 2006 and has a diverse collection but is known mostly for their premium quality jeans. Today the company has had partnerships with Target and even has their own race car, #98, which won the Indianapolis 500.
