Go outside and get fresh air.
If you really want to give your whole mind and body a nice break during the day, go outside and get some fresh air. You can walk, read, sit or just relax but try to get outside. It can really lift your spirits, clear your mind and a little sunshine can actually lift your mood. This is a great habit to get in. Chances are when you get back inside you will be refocused and ready to take on the afternoon, and you will be in much better spirits. There is little that you can do in order to eliminate stress from your day-to-day life in the office. However, there are things you can do to cut down on the amount of stress that you experience at work. When you take a lunch break, it is important that you emphasize the break part of this time of your day. You need to not only take a physical break from working, but you need to take a mental break as well. This is a great time to cut down on the amount of stress that you experience during the day and to regain your composure. Take the time to do some deep breathing exercises. Take multiple deep breaths in and out and work on clearing your mind. It can go a long way in cutting down stress and cutting out negative thoughts.
